This is crazy!

Well many of you know that Steve and I are expecting a baby this June and we have our first baby picture so I wanted to share. The baby is only an inch long and I am a little over 10 weeks along. So far things are going well and I have felt great today, well tired, but at least not sick. The baby was moving around a lot and we saw the babies heart beating. It was all pretty cool. Well all except for the flu shot they gave me that made me sick.

Sorry!

So it was brought to my attention that my school posts have been emailed to people. I couldn't figure out why that would happen until I looked at my family blog and realized that instead of posting what I did in class last week on the 7th grade blog it was on my family blog. I hope this doesn't happen again and sorry for the random emails about what I was doing in my class last week.

New Floor

Ok so it's taken a couple weeks but I am super excited about our new floor. Allen came up to help us out. We have wanted to get rid of our nasty carpet ever since we moved in but just never found the money to do it. Until our washing machine flooded our kitchen that is. Yeah for insurance. So thanks to our insurance company we have a tiled entry and bathroom and a laminate kitchen, hall, dining room and living room. It sounds like a lot of space but it's really only like 400 square feet. It took a week because of all the nooks and crannies that Allen had to make cuts for, but I would do it again because it looks amazing! Now I just have to convince Steve to paint. Above are some before and mostly after shots. THANKS ALLEN!!!!!

Hello Week

So the beginning of the school year the Student Body Officers (SBO's) plan a spirit week that we call Hello Week. Each day teachers email me the number of students who dressed up and the total number of students in their TA (homeroom) class. The top three classes win doughnuts. We also have contest where students decorate their teachers door. The SBO's go around and judge the doors based on creativity, neatness, and student appeal (or as well call it all around awesomeness). My door doesn't get decorated because it wouldn't be fair for the SBO's to decorate my door and then win. Anyway I thought I'd share some pictures from Twin Day of some of the teachers. Sometimes dress up days are not very fun, but twin day this year was pretty fun. I think I might invest in some blond extensions for the future.

Flowrider

So as most people are aware Utah does not border an ocean and because of that Steve does not get to surf. Unless we are at the Lindon pool because there you can ride the flowrider all day for $10. My neice Lily decided to have her birthday at the Lindon pool because it is a lot of fun. They have a slide, a lazy river, some small wading pools, the large deeper pool, and of course the flowrider. Steve was pretty excited to "surf" all day.

Ethan also thought the boogie boarding was awesome!

Our trip around the world

For our anniversary Steve and I thought we'd go on a trip around the world. Here's a taste from each country we visited. First we stopped off in Mexico

From there we went to Europe. We stopped in a lot of countries but some of our pictures didn't turn out. We went to Norway, Finland, Switzerland, France, England, Wales, Ireland, and Russia and our pictures were no good. We did get some good ones from Denmark
and Italy

Germany was nice. Steve wanted to take a picture of me in the well.

From there we went over to the Middle East and saw the Jordan River it was pretty dirty we also stopped in Lebanon some people were a little afraid to go into Lebanon and Israel, but we were totally safe.
Our last stops were in Asia. First we went to Vietnam
then we decided to go to Japan
our last destination was S Korea
Some of you may be wondering how we could afford such an amazing trip? Why are you already blogging about it if you just left yesterday and why are we wearing the same clothes? The answer is simple. We went to the International Peace Garden at Jordan Park in Salt Lake. Ok so it's not as cool as traveling the world, but it's as close as we're going to get right now.

My Flower bed 2009

So last year my flower bed was crazy with dahlia's and this year has been different. I have some smaller flowers and I really like my gerbera daisies. I also got a couple sweet peas and finally one calla lily. I'm also excited because I'm getting tomatoes in my backyard. My grass is dead, but my tomatoes are here.
